With over 150 years trading history, F.W.Williamson & son is now headed by the
founder’s grandson Anthony .
The company has diversified from its beginnings as a family run farm and years as contract farmers, to the present day where, whilst still very much a part of the local farming community, Ant concentrates on his passion for welding. His expertise is born out of a lifetime of fixing farm machinery, equipment and farm furniture; this combined with extensive vocational study.
Whilst Ant is the skilled welder, the team assist him with the preparatory and finishing works, along with an awful lot of lifting and carrying along the way!
With a keen interest in heritage, F.W.Williamson & son work closely with English Heritage and we are often called upon for their skills in repairing and restoring historical iron work.
When not working on major heritage projects, we are happy to engage in bespoke projects for clients, manufacturing anything from bedsteads to staircases and balconies.
Ant spends any spare time he has crafting sculptures out of old engine parts. He is well known in the area around Stamford and Rutland for his work and has a reputation for producing eye-catching pieces of modern art.
